Generic Arimidex (Anastrozole) must be taken on a long-term basis for up to 5 years. Available in 1 mg strength, it is orally administered once a day with a full glass of water. Side Effects of Anastrozole

Continue your doses of generic Arimidex and consult with your doctor if you have any of the following common and less serious side effects: w eakness, nausea, hot flashes, joint pain or stiffness, sore throat, back pain, bone pain, dejection, mood shifts, loss of appetite, h eadache, diarrhea, constipation, vaginal dryness, weight gain, or dizziness.
